Is this an affiliate program or a real business start-up?

This is not an affiliate program. This is an actual business start-up. You will be starting your own computer reseller business from home or office. You will be registering your business and obtaining your sales tax ID with your state. We'll show you how.

Does Inet Start provide the website?

No. Inet Start does not provide the website. Instead, the Inet Start Computer Reseller Course shows you how to start and open your own online store as quickly and as easily as possible.

B. Build and open your online store using a professional, pre-built website template from TemplateMonster.com to give your store a professional look and feel. All you’ll have to do is edit the website template with Expression Web or Dreamweaver. Then insert images and product text. Link the Buy button to your shopping cart and you’re done.

​C. Open your online store with any online store package provided by your web host provider. All web host providers offer complete ecommerce solutions. Or you can purchase a complete ecommerce solution for just $25 per month from 
Volusion.com or BigCommerce.com. Then all you’ll have to do is insert product images and insert product text.

​D. Hire a professional website developer. If you don’t have the time to build your online store then you can hire a professional web developer to build the store for you. How much time will I have to put into my business?

You can start off part-time working part-time hours but eventually it will turn into a full time job, just as with any 9-5 online store business. However, most of your time will go into the initial start-up phase of your business, i.e. setting up your business, building your online store, adding products to your store, marketing your store, etc. Then from there it's just a matter of taking and placing orders and marketing and maintaining your website.

How long will it take to get my business up & running?

That depends on how much time and effort you put into starting your business. You can register your business and obtain your sales tax license within 2 weeks or less. And during that time you can be working on your Internet storefront as well. Building a “super-store” (selling all product categories) can be done in less than a month, while building an Internet storefront focused on a niche market can be completed within 2 weeks or less. Do I have to pay for the product up front?

No. After the customer pays you for the product, then you can order the product from the distributor. The distributor will then ship the product directly to your customer with your business name on the box. Products can be paid for via credit card, PayPal debit card, EFT: Electronic Funds Transfer, direct debit or C.O.D. Distributors offer multiple payment options and credit terms as well. Who will provide technical support for my customers?

Technical support is provided by the manufacturer and not the reseller. Resellers do not have to provide technical support for computer hardware and software products unless they choose to do so. All technical support and warranty issues for computer products are to be handled directly by the manufacturer of the product unless you are qualified and willing to provide technical support. How are product returns handled?

Brand new computer products are rarely defective. However, if the customer needs to return the product for whatever reason, then you can simply contact the distributor to obtain an RMA (Return Authorization Number). Then you can instruct the customer (via email) to send the product back to the distributor with that same RMA number on the package. The distributor will refund the purchase amount back to your account and then you can refund the same amount back to the customer, or you can grant a product exchange as well. Can anyone do this from another country?

The Inet Start program is for U.S., U.K. and Canadian residents only. All products are shipped within the U.S., U.K. and Canada. You would have to be a resident and reside in one of these countries in order to start and run your business. However, some computer and electronics distributors such as Ingram Micro and Tech Data have large international operations located across the globe. You can contact the distributors directly and ask them if they are able to work with you in your country. In regards to starting and registering your business, this business course provides instructions on starting a business within the U.S., U.K. and Canada only. You will have to do your own research on how to start a business in your country. However, just about every other aspect on this website will work for most countries as it does within the U.S.
