Smallest in its class: Ultra compact design is only 4.1 inches long, 2.7 inches high, and 1.3 inches deep (with lens retracted). Plus, the PowerShot S20 weighs just 9.5 ounces, excluding battery and CompactFlash card.

Simple controls: Large, easy-to-use control buttons are logically placed and easy to access. The OMNI Selector centralized button offers advanced functions logically arranged in one convenient place.

3.34 million pixel resolution: Want richly dense, incredibly clear images? The PowerShot S20 delivers. A 0.56-inch 3.34 megapixel Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) sensor creates full color and B&W high-resolution images up to 2048 x 1536 pixels.

USB high-speed interface: The S20 has a Universal Serial Bus that communicates with your computer 20 times faster than standard serial port connectors. You can connect directly to either USB or RS-232C serial ports for maximum flexibility.

CompactFlash: Instead of film, the S20 uses the most powerful image-storage, media-compatible Type I and II CompactFlash memory cards. It also supports IBM's 340 MB microdrive. CompactFlash memory cards hold many more images, and are also reusable. So you need never worry about film or developing costs.

Lens: Canon is world-famous for its high-quality optics. Our TTL autofocus lens ensures the transfer of clear, sharp images to the CCD. Our high resolution, minimal low-distortion F/2.8 (wide angle) - 4.0 (telephoto) all-glass aspherical optical 2x zoom lens has a 35mm-format equivalent focal length of 32 to 64mm.

Power Sources: The S20 is powered by a lightweight 2CR5 lithium battery, or an optional, rechargeable NB-5H nickel-metal hydride battery pack, and an internal CR2016 lithium battery insures date/time stamp backup. So you always have the power you need, when you need it.

Software: Great pictures are just the beginning. The PowerShot Solutions Software CD-ROM enhances your images to your liking. Fully compatible with Macintosh and PC computers, this comprehensive software package includes Adobe PhotoDeluxe and Photostitch plus driver software for both Mac OS and Windows. Also included is the ZoomBrowser EX for Windows, and the PowerShot Browser for Macs.
